Two months ago, I asked Aaron if I could photograph him in his backyard. 

(For context, I was extremely frustrated with my current station in life, having been told by my doctor and others to rest, because I was recovering from a medical condition.)

Thankfully, Aaron agreed. And, during our photo session, I felt something special: joy.

I haven’t been able to work for several months due to my condition, so I spend my days praying, engaging in unnecessary pity parties (as of late, they’re on the decline), annoying my BFF, organizing files on my computer and dreaming of the day I can host several photo sessions.

Photographing Aaron reminded me of my purpose, and as of May, I’m slightly going against my doctor’s orders by plotting my next low-key shoot.
